ARTIST STATEMENT

My practice involves exploring society and social issues through the lens of documentary and post-documentary photography. I am an interdisciplinary artist and often employ a combination of several mediums.

My work departs from the concept of the human being; I am interested in the multifaceted nature of this concept. The human as a victim of society, the human as an enslaver of nature, the human as a self-destructive organism and the human as a self-healing entity, the human as an infinitely self-expanding species.

My art is an immersion into themes concerning human relationships, experiences, and social aspects. Through objects created in my practice, I pose questions about the existence of boundaries between art and reality. In the "Architectural Imprints" project, I work with the theme of Constructivism, a style that emerged as "anti-natural." I reinterpret it through natural materials: raw fabric, threads, colored pigments. The manual coloring using the palette from Mikhail Matyushin's "Handbook of Color" — an artist who studied the harmony of natural hues — creates a dialogue between reinforced concrete and the organic.

In my documentary projects "Mother and Daughter" and "Outsiders," I strive to capture the delicate threads of relationships and the unique stories that often remain unseen. These projects open a space for reflection on family bonds and social identity, conveying emotional depth through visual narrative.

In the art project "Anthropomorphic Nature," I work with the theme of interaction between humans and the surrounding world, presenting them in a context that emphasizes the flexibility of the anthropomorphic image and the possibility of self-expression. I use digital collage and combine photography with embroidery and patchwork techniques, creating multi-layered visual compositions that invite viewers to interactively perceive the art.

Each project is, for me, an invitation to dialogue, an opportunity to discuss important contemporary issues and to explore how different artistic mediums can resonate and create new meanings. I believe that art should not only reflect reality but also expand its horizons.

Through newly created images and technologies, I aim to evoke an emotional response in viewers and encourage them to contemplate more deeply what is happening around them.
