OUTSIDERS

OUTSIDERS

I am drawn to objects discarded by people along roadsides and in other random places—far from organized waste collection points.

Each time I encounter these lost things, I am overwhelmed with curiosity: Who left this here and why? These objects, forgotten in unfamiliar places, raise questions about human interaction with the environment. They evoke in me a sense of loss, a feeling of untold sad or tragic stories—much like in the work of Christian Boltanski, where every object whispers of interrupted lives.

For me, these discarded fragments become artifacts of inquiry—reliquaries of emotion and memory. I see them not merely as trash, but as witnesses: silent confirmations of past lives, forgotten moments, or misunderstandings. Each one pulls at my attention, compelling me to reconstruct its story and contemplate how its presence alters the space.
