Exhibition of First-Year ICA Students — Fabrika CCI

While I'm here in Salzburg forging my new project, back in Moscow, the exhibition "Nature That Cares" by students of the Iosif Bakshtein Institute of Contemporary Art has opened at the Fabrika Center for Creative Industries.

At this exhibition, I am presenting my new project "Outsiders."

Its concept was born last year during a trip to Karelia. The project is labor-intensive and far from quick to produce. But over the year, in time for the exhibition, I've managed to create 6 prints.

The exhibition is powerful. And, as a wonderful cartoon character—Donkey from Shrek—would say, it has layers.

The curator of the exhibition is Stanislav Shuripa.

And here I use this clichéd expression without any coquetry—that's exactly what it is.

The exhibition features works by students whose eyes are alight, eager to shape the taste of the modern educated person—works that form the avant-garde of the art of our time.
